After finishing their season with a 28-3 record overall and winning the program’s first Heart of American Conference championship, the Baker men are headed to the NAIA National Tournament this week.

The third-seeded Wildcats (22-2, HAC) will have a home advantage on Friday when they face No. 14 Texas Wesleyan at 7 p.m. in Baldwin City. The Rams finished their season 19-10 overall (14-9 Sooner Athletic Conference) before falling to Mid-America Christian University 81-73 in their conference quarterfinals.

The Heart of American Conference leads all with seven teams qualified for the national tournament. This will be Baker’s seventh trip to the show, where the Wildcats have a 1-6 record.

Tickets can be purchased online through HomeTown Ticketing and at the gate. The game will also be available to stream for free on the Heart Conference Network.

To punch their ticket, Baker squeaked past MidAmerica Nazarene 70-67 on March 1.

Baldwin City is also hosting No. 6 Concordia (Neb.) vs. No. 11 Bethel (Kan.) at 5 p.m. Friday and the winners of Baker/Texas Welseyan and Concordia/Bethel at 6 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets and streaming options are the same.
