The final month of the spring sports season is fully underway, and teams are entering either the postseason or the final stretches of the regular season. Here are this week’s selections for Journal-World Athletes of the Week:

Corbin May-Bryant, Lawrence

Corbin May-Bryant

May-Bryant won the Hall of Fame Classic and led the Lawrence boys golf team to a second-place finish on Monday against 23 other golfers. He finished two strokes over par and had birdies on two holes.

Parker Jones, Free State

Parker Jones

Jones won the long jump in the Trailblazer Invitational on Friday with an 18-foot, 11.5-inch jump that was over 7 inches farther than the runner-up. Jones also finished seventh in the 100-meter dash with a 12.95-second run.
