Coach of the Year: MaryJo Swann, Eudora
Eudora’s boys track and field team took fifth in the 4A state meet this season, scoring 54.50 points with 11 top-10 finishes.
Player of the Year: Cameren Tice, Eudora

Cameren Tice
A hamstring injury kept Tice from performing his junior season, but he came back better than ever for his final year. He holds school records in the 4×100-meter relay team, the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash, the latter of which put him top-10 in Kansas. In the 4A state meet, he took second in the 200-meter dash, third in the 100-meter dash and was the anchor of the state champion 4×100-meter relay team.
Amos Brakenhoff, Perry-Lecompton

Amos Brackenhoff
Brakenhoff finished fifth in the 3A state meet in the javelin with an 186 foot, 10-inch throw for his final season. Brakenhoff was also a qualifier in the 300-meter hurdles.
Tyler Dye, Lawrence

Tyler Dye
Dye, the school record holder in the javelin, finished his Lawrence career with a third-place finish in the 6A state meet with a 195 foot, 11-inch throw. Dye will continue his track and field career at Creighton.
George Hagen, Eudora

George Hagen
Hagen set a school record in the triple jump at 45 feet, 5 inches his final year at Eudora while placing fifth in the state in the event and seventh in the pole vault. Hagen battled injuries to provide leadership and more for the Cardinals.
Kasey Hamrick, Baldwin

Kasey Hamrick
Hamrick concluded his Baldwin career with an eighth-place finish in the 4A state meet in the 400-meter run, the event that he holds a school record in. Hamrick was also part of Baldwin’s 4×400-meter relay team, which placed third, and the 4×800-meter relay team, which finished fourth.
Michael Knutzen, Veritas Christian

Michael Knutzen
Knutzen’s first season of track went well, as he broke school records in the javelin, triple jump and 4×100-meter relay. His season ended with a KASC state title in the javelin.
Toby Kwan, Free State

Toby Kwan
Kwan finished fifth at the 6A state meet in the long jump at 22 feet, 2.25 inches and took third in the event at regionals. The junior scored four of Free State’s seven points at the state meet.
Grayson Masterson, Eudora

Grayson Masterson
Masterson capped off his sophomore year with a fifth-place finish in the 4A state meet in the 3200-meter run and a seventh-place run in the 1600-meter run. His 3200-meter time of 9 minutes, 47.31 seconds is a school record.
Brenden O’Connor, Baldwin

Brenden O’Connor
O’Connor ended his Baldwin career as the runner-up in the shot put, while also placing fourth in the 4A state meet in discus. He won both the Frontier League and regional in discus while adding a league championship to his belt in shot put.
David Wilson, Baldwin

David Wilson
Wilson capped off his senior year with a third-place finish in the 4A state meet with a jump of 45 feet, 9.25 inches, which also set a school record with Baldwin.
