The spring sports season continues to roll on, and athletes in and around Lawrence had historic feats and impressive performances during this past week. Here are this week’s selections for Journal-World Athletes of the Week:

Addy Schooler, Tonganoxie

Adalyn Schooler

Schooler shattered a Tonganoxie school record over the weekend with a 144-foot, 10-inch discus throw, which topped a record that had lasted 20 years.

Nathan Young, Free State

Young pitched a no-hitter in Free State’s 8-0 win over Shawnee Mission North on Tuesday. In seven innings, Young threw eight strikeouts and allowed no walks. The Bison only got one runner on base with an error in the first inning.
