The first full month of fall sports is over, and the final full month of the season is now in full swing. With that, local athletes are leading teams to big wins as the season enters its second half. Here are this week’s selections for Athletes of the Week:

Irelyn Kennedy, Baldwin

Irelyn Kennedy

Irelyn Kennedy ran in the Rim Rock Classic on Saturday and finished with the fifth-fastest time in the 5K varsity gold race at 19 minutes, 0.73 seconds.

Grayson Moody, Eudora

Eudora football handed Ottawa its first loss of the season in a 35-21 win. Running back Grayson Moody racked up 166 yards and two touchdowns in the win and helped the Cardinals move to 3-1.
