The Journal-World All-Area teams are carefully selected by the Journal-World sports staff.

Coach of the Year: Adam Ludwin, Tonganoxie

Ludwin and the Tonganoxie Chieftains won the 4A state tournament and were among the best teams in the state throughout the season. The Chieftains brought eight wrestlers to state, with five reaching the podium.

Player of the Year: Stella Bradley, Tonganoxie

Stella Bradley

Bradley, a senior at the 115-pound weight class, finished her career as a state champion with over 100 career wins in three years. She qualified and placed at state twice in her career and had 43 wins in the 2024-25 season.

Meaa Allen, Perry-Lecompton

Meaa Allen

Allen was the 4A state runner-up in the 235-pound weight class and was the 4A East Super Regional champion. She finished her senior year with a 28-8 record.

Madelynn Arnold, Eudora

Madelynn Arnold

Arnold wrapped up her senior year by placing sixth in the 4A state tournament in the 140-pound bracket. She was second in the Frontier League and fifth at Super Regionals in her weight class. The three-time state qualifier will wrestle for Baker University next year.

Canyon Burtis, Baldwin

Canyon Burtis

Burtis took fourth in the 4A state tournament in the 105-pound weight class. She finished with 36 wins in her senior year.

Mackenzie Colgrove, Tonganoxie

Mackenzie Colgrove

Colgrove placed fourth in the 4A state tournament in the 145-pound weight class. Her senior year was her first state placement and her second state qualifying season.

Finley Keller, Tonganoxie

Finley Keller

Keller placed sixth in the 135-pound weight class after winning three matches in the consolation bracket at the 4A state tournament. She finished her junior year with 23 wins.

Finnley Kellerman, Baldwin

Finnley Kellerman

Kellerman finished fourth in the 4A state tournament, improving upon her sixth-place finish last season. She won 33 matches in her junior year and entered the state tournament with the second-most wins on the season.

Daijah Preston, Free State

Daijah Preston

Preston went 34-8 her senior year and qualified for state for her second time. In the 135-pound weight class, Preston finished second in the Sunflower League and fourth in the 6A West region. She also has helped Free State’s girls wrestling program grow into a full team.

Grace Stean, Tonganoxie

Grace Stean

Stean, a senior in the 170-pound weight class, finished her career as a four-time state qualifier and three-time state placer. She took second after two years of placing fifth in the state tournament and had over 100 career wins with Tonganoxie.

Goldy Stephens, Lawrence

Goldy Stephens

Stephens became the first Lawrence state placer when she took fifth in the 235-pound weight class of the state tournament. She finished second in the Sunflower League Meet and hit 90 career wins in her junior campaign.

Autumn Wilson, Tonganoxie

Autumn Wilson

Wilson placed fifth in the 120-pound weight class and finished with 40 wins during her junior season. It was her second-straight year hitting that win mark.
