The Journal-World All-Area teams are carefully selected by the Journal-World sports staff.
Coach of the Year: Brooke Hopper, Eudora
Hopper and the Eudora Cardinals won 32 games in 2024 and entered the playoffs as the No. 2 seed in the 4A East.
Player of the Year: Braydee Miller, Eudora

Miller led the Eudora Cardinals in kills with 345 and digs with 259, while being third in aces with 40. She was a first-team all-Frontier League player and an all-state honorable mention — all as a freshman.
Karsen Chapman, Free State

Chapman was a first-team all-Sunflower League player with 437 digs, which led the Sunflower League and was third in 6A, and had 25 aces as a senior.
Charlotte Clements, Veritas Christian

Clements led the team in kills and held a leadership role as one of only two seniors on the team. This was her seventh year playing for the Veritas volleyball program.
Adalyn Hemphill, Eudora
Hemphill was second on the team in kills (241) and had 128 digs and 23 aces. She was named first-team all-Frontier League All-Around Player while taking on a leadership role with the team.
Miranda Kuntz, Eudora

Kuntz led the Cardinals in aces and assists (454). The senior also had 50 kills and 21 single blocks while being a team captain.
Olivia Monroe, Lawrence

Monroe had 246 digs and 509 assists for the Lions as a senior setter. She was named the Most Valuable Player by her team and was a Sunflower League honorable mention.
Tessa Nover-Estes, Free State
As a sophomore, Nover-Estes was a second-team all-Sunflower League player with 46 aces and 771 assists, which was fourth in the Sunflower League. She reached over 1,000 career assists in the season.
Xeva Oldridge, Bishop Seabury

Leading the Seahawks in kills, aces and digs earned Oldridge second-team all-conference honors. Through her junior year, she has surpassed 500 career kills.
Emily Paget, Baldwin
Despite a season-long knee injury, Paget was a team captain for the Bulldogs and had 211 assists, 172 kills and 31 aces, which earned her second-team all-league honors.
Taylor Trimble, Perry-Lecompton

Trimble had 475 digs, which was first in the Big East League, and 46 aces, which was third in the Big East League.
