Coach of the Year: Eric Toot, Baldwin

In just the team’s first year competing as a full team, Baldwin was at the top of the Frontier League and placed sixth in the state tournament.

Player of the Year: Peyton Wright, Baldwin

Peyton Wright

Wright was one of the best golfers in the state. She was the Frontier League champion and the regional champion before placing eighth at the state tournament. She helped Baldwin win six of their nine tournaments on the year.

Brooklynn Akers, Eudora

Brooklynn Akers

Akers had the fourth-best finish in the Frontier League tournament and the sixth-best finish in the regional tournament. At state, Akers placed in 26th overall.

Carson Chambers, Baldwin

Carson Chambers

Chambers was Baldwin’s consistent No. 2 golfer behind Wright, and she finished her season with all-league honors and was a regional medalist.

Marleigh Grant, Eudora

The junior placed third in the Frontier League and fourth in the regional tournament. At the 4A girls golf state tournament, Grant finished 11th.

Merrit Hale, Free State

Merrit Hale

Hale led the Free State golf team throughout its season and was the team’s lone qualifier in the 6A state tournament, which she did as an individual without a full team.

Jada Sansome, Baldwin

Jada Sansome

Sansome saved her best stuff for the state tournament where she placed 21st overall. The sophomore earned all-league honors and was a regional medalist.

Paityn Van Middlesworth, Tonganoxie

Paityn Van Middlesworth

Van Middlesworth had a strong sophomore year as she reached the 4A girls golf state tournament and placed 33rd.
