Eric Toot, Baldwin

Coach of the Year: Eric Toot, Baldwin High

Toot assembled arguably the area’s best campaign at 14-8 behind a strong cast of All-Frontier League selections. Baldwin entered their substate bracket as a No. 6 seed and fell short of a state ticket in the substate title to 3-seed Ottawa.

Alyssa Reichard

Player of the Year: Alyssa Reichard, Baldwin High

Reichard closed her Bulldog career in First Team All-Frontier League fashion as a two-way player and three-year starter. The senior forward finished the season averaging 13.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game.

Peyton Wright

Peyton Wright, Baldwin High

Wright, a Second Team All-Frontier League guard, provided an immediate impact for Toot’s program in its first year, averaging 11.0 points per game and shooting 77.3% from the free-throw line and 39.6% from 3-point land.

Cami Nauholz, Lawrence High

As a freshman newcomer, Nauholz (10.6 ppg) carved out a role for herself in the paint, logging 6.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game. Nauholz was named Third Team All-Sunflower League.

Emma Roman Nose, Lawrence High

Roman Nose, an Honorable Mention All-Sunflower League pick, pulled together a strong senior campaign averaging 5.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.4 steals per game for LHS.

Anniston Clark

Anniston Clark, Free State

Clark served as the Firebirds’ most competitive asset averaging 11.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.1 blocks per game during her freshman season. The newcomer capped her first year as the Sunflower League’s second-leading rebounder and top-10 shot blocker.

Taylor Damme

Taylor Damme, Perry-Lecompton

Damme was named unanimous All-Big 7 as a three-year starter for the Kaws, averaging 13.0 points and 5.4 rebounds per game during her senior campaign. Damme is committed to playing volleyball at Arkansas-Fort Smith.

Another freshman to watch, Deterding blazed her way into the Frontier League averaging 12.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game en route to the First Team All-Frontier League list.

Yoder contributed 8.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game during her final season with the Cardinals. The senior forward was named Second Team All-Frontier League.

Long logged 6.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.3 steals a night during her final season as a Cardinal.

Alyssa Schoeneck

Alyssa Schoeneck, Tonganoxie High

Schoeneck held a demanding role in the Tonganoxie’s 3-17 campaign averaging 13.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 3.2 steals a night for the Chieftains. The sophomore guard was named Second Team All-Frontier League.
