Thanks to unselfish play, Bishop Seabury’s boys basketball team cruised to an 87-28 win over Christ Prep on Friday.
From the opening tip, BSA players were looking to make the extra pass and get good looks on the offensive end. The Seahawks (9-2, No. 1 in Class 2A) also consistently got stops on the defensive end, which took a total-team effort.
Stavian Jones led Bishop Seabury in scoring with 28 points in the win. Joao Carlos Ramirez finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds, while Zach Bloch added in 13 points and did a great job of setting his teammates up.
BSA now has won two games in a row in convincing fashion, which has been an impressive response by the team after placing fourth at the Baldwin Invitational.
“I told the team I think we took a positive step this week,” BSA head coach Jonathan Raney said. “We just need to continue to take it one day at a time and focus on each other.”
Bishop Seabury will host Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy on Tuesday.
