Eudora’s football team earned its first win of the 2019 season in a weather-shortened affair.

In a battle between two area teams, EHS took down Baldwin for a 34-12 home win. With the loss, the Bulldogs fall to 0-4 on the year. The Cardinals, who won just one game in 2018 in Sean Hayden’s first year at the helm, are now 1-3 halfway through the season.

Eudora had a strong second half after trailing by a 12-7 margin at the intermission. Noah Watkins started things off with an 80-yard interception return. Cael Lynch then gave EHS a 21-12 advantage with a 27-yard touchdown run.

Zeke Reazin and Brayden Beerbower added touchdown runs in the fourth quarter to help Eudora pull away. With less than four minutes remaining, the game was ultimately called due to inclement weather.

Eudora will travel to Louisburg, while Baldwin host Paola next week.
