The Big 12 released its 2019-20 conference schedule Wednesday morning.

The Kansas women’s basketball team will begin its 18-game conference schedule when it travels to Stillwater, Okla., to take on Oklahoma State on Jan. 4.

KU’s first home contest against a conference opponent will be four days later when the team competes against West Virginia inside Allen Fieldhouse.

One highlight of this schedule format is two matchups against the reigning national champion Baylor Bears. KU won’t have to wait long to host the Lady Bears as they come to Lawrence on Jan. 15, just four games into the conference schedule. Kansas will then travel to Waco, Texas, on Feb. 5 for the second meeting.

In-state rival Kansas State is scheduled to come to Allen Fieldhouse in the heart of the team’s conference lineup on Jan. 29. Kansas will also conclude its 2019-20 regular season on the road against the Wildcats in Manhattan on March 8.

Other schedule highlights include home matchups against Oklahoma on Feb. 2, Texas on Feb. 15, Oklahoma State on Feb. 29 and Iowa State on March 3.
