KU volleyball falls to Arizona

Kansas volleyball was unable to secure its second victory of the Kansas Invitational on Friday night as it fell in straight sets to the visiting Arizona Wildcats inside Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena.

After falling behind 2-0, the Jayhawks were in need of a rally to pull off the come-from-behind win. The set went down to the wire with both teams tied at 23. However, it was the Wildcats who would be able to score the final 2 points to secure the 25-23 set and match victory.

A trio of Jayhawks led the way on the night, with seniors Zoe Hill and Ashley Smith along with sophomore Rachel Langs, each finishing with six kills. Junior Sara Nielsen did her best to distribute the ball to her trio, ending with 26 assists.
