KU volleyball drops road match at Iowa State

In its second Big 12 matchup of the season, Kansas suffered a 3-0 loss (25-23, 25-20, 25-18) at Iowa State Wednesday night inside Hilton Coliseum.

KU’s best chance at a victory came in the first set when the team led by a 22-21 margin before ISU scored 4 of the final 5 points to win the set. The Cyclones were then in control for much of the night in their sweep of the Jayhawks.

Kansas got a strong performance from freshman Morgan Christon, who finished with a career-high 14 kills on the night. Junior Sara Nielsen finished with a team-best 28 assists in the loss.

KU will travel to Oklahoma at 5 p.m. Saturday.
