To close out the 2018-19 high school sports season, Bishop Seabury freshman Will Hedges claimed a top five finish at the Class 2A state golf meet.

Hedges placed fifth, shooting a 74 (+3) at Hesston Golf Course Wednesday afternoon. Kameron Shaw of Sacred Heart won the tournament with a 66 (-5) score. Sacred Heart also won the team title, which marks the fifth consecutive season that the Knights have won a state title in boys golf.

The Class 2A state golf meet was originally scheduled to take place last week, but was postponed due to weather. Hedges shot a 40 on the front-nine and carded a 34 on the back-nine. Hedges tallied two birdies and an eagle in his first trip to the state meet.
