Bishop Seabury junior qualifies for state track in 3 events

Bishop Seabury junior Henry Nelson will be busy next week during the state track meet in Wichita.

Nelson qualified for the Class 2A state meet in a trio of events during a strong showing at regionals Friday. Nelson won the 3,200-meter run with a time of 10:24.29. He also placed third in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 4:52.04 and took eighth in the 800-meter run with a mark of 2:06.99.

The BSA girls 4×100-meter relay team of Anna Johnson, Darby Harris, Hannah Motsinger and Summer Hartzler also placed sixth with a time of 57.50.

The state track meet is slated to start on Friday.
