LFS Gridiron Club to host annual auction event at LCC

Imagine getting a front-row seat to one Free State football game this fall.

The “Friday night lights total game day experience” is one of many items up for grabs at an annual silent auction event, which is hosted by the LFS Gridiron Club. This year’s event will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Lawrence Country Club.

During the first 90 minutes of the event, roughly 150 silent auction items will be available to be bid on. Free State’s first-year head coach Kevin Stewart, as well as his senior class, will then be introduced at 7:30 p.m. Afterward, approximately 20 items will be bid on during the live auction portion of the night.

The winner of the game day experience package will get the opportunity to be with the FSHS football team during the pregame meal and warmups, as well as have locker room access and a sideline pass for that particular game.

Another big item is the Valentine’s Day retreat, which is slated to take place in Riviera Maya, Mexico. The annual event, which has been going on for the last decade, will be open to the public.
