Brian Frederick, a Lawrence High graduate and son of late University of Kansas athletic director Bob Frederick, gives the keynote speech at the Lawrence Schools Foundation’s annual community breakfast, Friday, Sept. 20, 2019, at the DoubleTree Hotel. Frederick detailed how he was part of a team at the ALS Association that created the Ice Bucket Challenge fundraiser that generated about $115 million in six weeks to help combat the disease.
