Ocean explorer Robert Ballard talks about his career and answers the questions of West Middle School seventh-graders Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at the school. While Ballard is most famous for discovering the wreckage of the Titanic, he also has had a successful career that includes discovering hydrothermal vents and other notable shipwrecks.

Ocean explorer Robert Ballard, who is most famous for discovering the wreckage of the Titanic, on Tuesday visited West Middle School, Liberty Memorial Central Middle School and Lawrence High School. Ballard, who was born in Kansas, spoke to the students about his career and answered questions during the visit.
