Construction of Clinton Lake began in 1972. This photo, taken in the summer of 1974, shows the construction of the Clinton Dam, viewed from the south end of the dam looking north. At left, to the west, is where Clinton Lake now exists, and at right, on the east side of the dam, is where Eagle Bend Golf course and the spillway are now located.
