To the editor:

On Oct. 12, the Journal-World ran an article titled “Marshall camp settles unpaid bakery bill after 6 years”. The article states that since 2020, Roger Marshall has owed a small business in Hutchinson for a $678 bill he never paid despite the owners trying for years to collect before giving up. Marshall’s campaign spokesman said they have now paid the business $1,300, “double (what was owed).” But wait just a minute here! At an 18% interest rate, which is what Roger Marshall charges his medical patients that owe him for medical bills, he owes Holly’s Sweet Treats $1,831. So Roger Marshall, you still owe Holly $531! Such hypocrisy! Pay your bill, Roger Marshall!
