Letter to the editor: Do what’s best for Kansas

To the editor:

Sen. Marshall appeared on “The Hill” television program on Jan. 26, proclaiming he believes RFK Jr.’s beliefs and platform will be in the best interest of Kansas farmers and ranchers. The following day, on his Facebook page, he stated he was “looking forward to RFK Jr.’s hearings this week and his swift confirmation.”

I would think a senator, let alone one with an M.D. degree, would want to hear what a nominee for the Department of Health and Human Services has to say in their confirmation hearings and listen to input from their constituents before projecting how they will vote. Sen. Marshall needs to worry less about being primaried, his committee assignments, and garnering favor from POTUS and more about doing what is best for Kansans.
