To the editor:

The University of Kansas and the Lawrence community should be awfully proud of KU’s head track and field coach, Stanley Redwine, for the outstanding job he and his coaching staff did at the recent Olympic Games in Paris.

Coach Redwine has consistently done an exceptional job coaching the young men and women on KU’s track and field teams. He is recognized and respected in the track and field community throughout the country and the world.

The late Bob Frederick, while serving as KU’s athletic director, made an outstanding hire for KU when he hired coach Redwine from the University of Tulsa.

Wishing coach Redwine and his staff continued success as he starts his 25th year coaching the men’s and women’s track teams at KU.
