To the editor:

We have been attending the RockChalk Roundball Classic for many years. This event is such a remarkable demonstration of love and compassion for children and their families affected by cancer. There are obviously many people involved in the planning of this event of basketball and supporting local families, but it wouldn’t be possible without Brian Hanni.

His tireless efforts to make sure of the venue, the scheduling, the availability of players, the organizing of the silent auction and donations, and most importantly, bringing the children and their families to be the focus of the event.

His enthusiasm, dedication and tireless effort to bring off this event of love and caring is so very inspiring. He is key to raising millions of dollars over the years to support families.

We really appreciate being able to see our favorite KU basketball stars on the court again, and we also appreciate the fact that Brian has tied this to such an important reason, to help the children.
