Letter to the editor: This does not make any sense

To the editor:

I don’t understand. Donald Trump opened his 2016 campaign with “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best … They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists….” [Mexico doesn’t “send”any immigrants.] On July 5, the Department of Homeland Security posted, “After weeks of delays by activist judges, the Department of Homeland Security finally deported eight barbaric, violent criminal illegal aliens.” So now we are sending our less-than-best to hapless South Sudan.

I don’t understand why these men, convicted of violent crimes in the USA are not in our prisons.

I don’t understand why we, a rich country, founded on law and order, have the prerogative of dumping “the worst of the worst” on poor, unstable countries.

I don’t understand how people never convicted of a felony can be called “the worst of the worst,” especially by a convicted felon.

I don’t understand what became of “innocent until proven guilty.”
