Letter to the editor: The ‘justification’ for U.S. violence

To the editor:

The last couple of days, I have been trying to ascertain the moral code of the current administration. Between the strikes on boats in the Caribbean and Pacific and the arrests of parents, children and U.S. citizens, one thing stands out very clearly: The underlying premise of the current administration’s actions is that committing any action that furthers our goals is acceptable. Whether it’s physical violence, killing, destroying people or any thing, as long as we are getting our way it’s all right.

No crime, no foul; there is nothing we won’t do to achieve our goal, and we share no blame for any of our actions.
