To the editor:

It seems many of my fellow Christians have believed a politician’s claim that he will “Make America Great Again,” and ignored the Bible’s word on that.

The Bible says “Righteousness exalts a nation.” Unless the politician’s idea of “Great” is the same as God’s, it’s incredible that so many Christians believe his words are anything but an empty, self-serving lie.

“Evangelicals” would have been wise to test the politician’s words against God’s before 80% of them voted (and prayed) for that politician to be America’s leader.

But God still offers forgiveness to anyone, Christian or not, who’ll be honest with Him that they’ve done wrong and trust in Christ’s righteousness.
