Letter to the editor: A good decision on fees
To the editor:
I write to compliment all parties associated with the recent decision not to implement facility admission fees, particularly the engaged citizens as well as our city government representatives. First, accolades to the many citizens who took their time to meaningfully express their concerns to city and board representatives. Second, thanks to board members and city employees, particularly Parks and Recreation Director Derek Rogers, for listening and hearing. This was an example of our democratic republic functioning at its best, working together for the common good.
