Letter to the editor: Great choice

To the editor:

The recent announcement of Melissa Peterson as KU’s first director of Tribal Relations is very promising news during a rather challenging time for the university. Melissa is a wonderful person who cares deeply for the well-being of Native American students, and it’s hard to imagine anyone more fitting for this very important role. I can’t wait to hear her ideas and see all the great things she will accomplish. Congratulations, Melissa! So very well deserved.
