Kansas University must update a federal database at least every semester on international students’ status in school for the students’ visas to be renewed. Do you think the university should be responsible for keeping track of international students?

Asked at Hy-Vee, 3504 Clinton Parkway on May 03, 2013

“No I do not. I don’t think it’s the universities’ responsibility, but the federal government’s.”

“Yes, they are sponsors of the students. They are their responsibility.”

“If the international student wants to keep enrollment with the university, they should have to show a valid visa. Beyond that I can’t see it being the university’s responsibility.”

“I see how it can be convenient, but don’t see how it should be the university’s job.”
