Free summer lunch program available at various locations across Lawrence
The Lawrence school district’s free summer lunch program is still ongoing Monday through Friday at various locations around town.
Hot meals are served from 12:30 to 1 p.m. through July 28 at New York, Woodlawn, Sunset Hill and Broken Arrow elementary schools. Other locations include Holcom Park from noon to 1 p.m. and the Lawrence Public Library from 11 a.m. to noon through Aug. 4. The district is also offering its Pinckney Playground Breakfast Playdate, from 9 to 9:30 a.m. on Fridays only.
For the summer lunch program, meals are free for children ages 1-18 and $5 for adults. The meals must be consumed onsite. Because of a change in federal regulations, children must be present to receive a meal. Meals will not be served on July 3 and 4 because of the holiday.
