The Fire Chiefs of Douglas County issued a burn ban from Thursday evening until Friday, according to a Facebook post from Consolidated Fire District No. 1.

The post was made about 8:30 p.m. Thursday and urged people to extinguish all fires and check previous burns to make sure they are out. A County Burn Ban Hotline at 785-832-5394 is updated at 8 a.m. every day to tell people if burning is allowed for the day and more information about burn bans can be found at dgcoks.org/outdoorburning, the post says.
