A 44-year-old massage therapist has been charged with four more sex crimes, in addition to the seven he was charged with last week.

Aaron Paul Borger, after charges added Wednesday, is now facing 11 counts, including seven felonies and four misdemeanors. The felony counts include two charges of rape and five counts of aggravated sexual battery. The misdemeanors include four counts of sexual battery.

Three new alleged victims are named — by initials only — in addition to the five in the previous charging document. The birth years of all eight range from 1969 to 2008.

According to a news release from the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office, the alleged offenses occurred between 2024 and this month while Borger, of Hartford in Lyon County, was providing massage services at a yoga studio in Baldwin City known as Om Grown Yoga & Wellness Collective, which is in a historic building at 816 High St.

The Journal-World has reached out to owners of Om Grown, but has not received a response. A person in the studio Friday morning said she believed Borger had worked there, along with five or six other massage therapists, not as an employee but in a contractual capacity. Om Grown’s website describes the venue as a collective that was founded in 2019 by a group of yoga teachers. The website lists an array of massage services, including full-body, therapeutic, hot stone and others.

A news release from the City of Baldwin described Borger as a part-time massage therapist at Om Grown and said he also worked out of a chiropractor’s office in Grandview, Missouri.

Baldwin police arrested Borger on April 8 on suspicion of three sex crimes, a number that has now nearly quadrupled. The police department said the arrest was the result of an investigation into an alleged incident the previous week during a massage therapy appointment. Police said the owners of Om Grown had assisted the investigation “from the onset.”

“The main focus of both the business and the Police Department is the well-being of the victim and the identification of any potential additional victims,” the release said.

The DA’s office asked anyone who believes “they may have had inappropriate or non-consensual contact with Mr. Borger, whether in Baldwin City or elsewhere,” to contact law enforcement.

The investigation is ongoing. Baldwin City police asked that anyone with information contact Detective Vanessa Garza, at 785-594-3850 or via email at vschmalz@baldwincity.gov.

Borger is being held in the Douglas County Jail on a bond of $500,000 cash or surety. His next court appearance is a status conference scheduled for April 29.
