Two drivers from Lawrence were injured — one seriously — in a crash on Interstate 70 on Wednesday morning, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
According to a crash report from the patrol, the crash took place around 8:30 a.m. in Leavenworth County, just past the Douglas County line. The report said Brooke Ashley Congdon, 44, was driving east in a 2000 Honda Accord when she lost control and struck a 1998 Honda Civic that was also going east, driven by 40-year-old Zachary Ryan Frisbie.
The report said Congdon was taken to LMH Health with a suspected serious injury and Frisbie was also taken to LMH Health with a minor injury. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the report said.
