Man accused of biting dog and police officer in Lawrence gas station incident identified as Missouri resident

A man accused of biting a dog and fighting police while naked at a Lawrence gas station on Wednesday has been identified as a Raytown, Missouri, resident.

The man, Zion Daniel Eisenhart, 25, was arrested shortly before 3 p.m. on suspicion of lewd and lascivious behavior, cruelty to animals, aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, aggravated assault on an officer and interference with law enforcement, according to the Douglas County Jail booking log.

The arrest followed an incident on Wednesday in which Eisenhart allegedly refused to exit the bathroom at the Casey’s at 1703 W. Sixth St. When police attempted to remove him, they reportedly found Eisenhart naked and performing a sexual act on himself, before he was Tased twice by officers. During his arrest he allegedly bit a police officer and a medium to large breed dog who was with him in the bathroom, as the Journal-World reported.
