Wabaunsee sheriff vows to hunt down “horse killer” and asks help of “superstar sweet cat lady true crime internet sleuths”

A horse was shot near the interstate in Wabaunsee County and the sheriff there has put out a call to “all superstar sweet cat lady true crime internet sleuths” to find the culprit.
Sheriff Eric Kirsch issued a release on social media Thursday night that a horse had been “shot & killed by an unknown assailant” near Interstate 70 and Carlson Road, about 30 miles from the Douglas County line across Shawnee County. A $2,500 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrator.
“Calling all superstar sweet cat lady true crime internet sleuths!! Sheriff Kirsch needs ya!! You all know me. You know how I earn a livin’. I’ll catch this horse killer for ya, but it ain’t gonna be easy. Bad Man! Not like goin’ down to Lake Wabaunsee chasing golf cart kid drivers. This Man shot & killed a horse,” Kirsch said.
Kirsch vowed to employ not only “cat ladies” but also use the full investigative resources of the county and to seek help from external agencies to identify the perpetrator to bring them to justice.
“We’ll be using forensics, assistance from external agencies, M-Squad Activation & we’re gonna catch this rotten SOB for shooting a horse. That’ll bring back justice back to this good land called Wabaunsee,” Kirsch said.
Kirsch asks anyone with information about the incident to contact the Wabaunsee Sheriff’s Office at 785-765-3323.
“I’ll find him yet I need your help. I do want some volunteers, we do want some mates, there’s not enough sleuths in this County. We need more superstar super smart/snoopy cat lady internet Investigators types in these here waters,” Kirsch said.
