Police are investigating Thursday after an argument allegedly resulted in a retaliatory shooting at a Lawrence residence.
Officers were called to the 1600 block of Haskell Avenue Wednesday night where they found bullet shell casings outside of a Lawrence home, according to a release from the Lawrence Police Department on social media.
Witnesses told police that after two people in the home who knew each other had a dispute, one of them later returned and shot at the house several times. The house was occupied by five people at the time, including children, the release said. No one was injured.
Police continue to investigate the incident. No arrests had been made as of Thursday morning, according to the jail booking log.
