Douglas County felony arrests, criminal charges for June 10, 2025

Below is a list of individuals who have been arrested and charged with a felony crime in Douglas County. Due to lag times in charging and records processing, the reporting period for this report is from 5 p.m. Sunday to 5 p.m. Monday.
Defendants listed should be presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Charges filed by the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office may change as additional investigations are conducted and evidence is submitted.
The Journal-World reports on the conclusion of many felony cases in Douglas County, but not all. Anyone can check on the resolution of a criminal case by inspecting the court file at the Douglas County District Court Clerk’s Office at the Judicial and Law Enforcement Center or online.
Denzel Stephen Daniels, 36, of Lawrence, is charged with one felony count of battery on a corrections officer in connection with an incident on April 12, 2023.
Jason Christopher Clark, 25, of Topeka, is charged with one felony count of violating the Kansas Offenders Registration Act by failing to register within three days of a change of job, residence, or school. Clark was convicted in 2020 of three felony counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child in Jefferson County and is required to register as a sex offender for 25 years.
