A crash between a bicycle and vehicle closed a section of North 1400 Road between Lawrence and Eudora on Tuesday evening.

According to a release from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened just after 8 p.m. The bicyclist was taken to a Kansas City-area hospital with injuries that were believed to be life-threatening.

North 1400 Road between East 200 Road and Winchester Road outside of Eudora was expected to be closed for several hours late Tuesday while crash investigators examine the scene.
