Two men arrested in connection with Clinton Marina thefts

Surveillance footage shows people who are possibly connected to burglaries at Clinton Marina.
Two people were arrested Saturday in connection with burglaries earlier this month at Clinton Marina.
According to a social media post from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, deputies took two men into custody Saturday afternoon and recovered eight electronic fish finders valued at about $24,000, some of which were tied to items reported missing from boat owners at the marina.
On July 10, the sheriff’s office asked the public for help identifying people in a series of images from the marina after multiple boats and slips had items stolen during overnight hours from July 3 to July 4, As the Journal-World reported.
According to the Douglas County Jail log, Dane Phillip Christensen, 20, of Lenexa, and Macgyver Michael Sabin, 19, of Gardner, were arrested about 3:30 p.m. Saturday on suspicion of burglary, criminal damage to property and theft of property or services valued between $1,500 and $25,000.
