Roommate altercation with knife at KU’s Templin Hall leads to aggravated assault arrest

A woman was arrested Thursday by University of Kansas police on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to KU Deputy Chief James Druen, officers responded shortly before 5:30 p.m. to Templin Residence Hall, 1515 Engel Road, in regard to an altercation between roommates. During the investigation, Druen said, it was found that an aggravated assault occurred with a knife.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Douglas County Jail, Druen said.
Jail records indicate that an 18-year-old with a home address of Olathe is the suspect. No charges had been filed Friday morning.
