A Lawrence man has been charged with multiple sex crimes involving an 11-year-old.

Kurt Eugene Pisocki, 57, is charged in Douglas County District Court with four counts of aggravated criminal sodomy and one count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, according to charging documents. All of the charges relate to the same alleged victim between July 1, 2024, and Jan. 30 of this year. If he is convicted on any of the charges, Pisocki could be sentenced to life in prison.

Pisocki was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at his residence in the 3300 block of Iowa Street. He was released on a $250,000 own-recognizance bond, meaning he was not required to pay any money to be released. He is currently on house arrest with GPS monitoring, according to court records.

Pisocki is next scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday for a status conference.
