Lawrence police have sent out a Silver Alert for 77-year-old Lawrence man Roger Harry Bean. Police said he has not been seen since Tuesday, and he is "known to wander and hitchhike."

A missing 77-year-old Lawrence man was found safe after the Lawrence Police Department issued a Silver Alert earlier this week.

According to a social media post from LPD, the department received information that Roger Harry Bean was in the Kansas City metro area. An officer traveled to Bean’s location and confirmed his identity.

As the Journal-World reported, the alert for Bean was issued on Monday afternoon, and police said he had not been seen since Tuesday, Dec. 23.
