Crime Stoppers of Lawrence and Douglas County will offer a free women’s self-defense class next month.

The class, from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 11, will provide practical techniques for self-protection. For ages 13 and up, the class will be taught by professionals, and no experience or registration is required. Entry is free, but a $5 donation to help fund Crime Stoppers programs would be appreciated.

The class will be at Prime Martial Arts, 1310 Research Park Drive, Suite B.
