Lawrence police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly bit the tip of another man’s finger off near a bar in downtown Lawrence.
According to a release on Wednesday from the Lawrence Police Department, police were called to a bar near Seventh and Massachusetts streets around 1 a.m. on March 29 for a report of a bottle of alcohol being stolen. The bar’s manager told police they had stopped the suspect long enough to recover the bottle, but that as the man fled the scene, he bumped into another man and attacked him, biting the tip of his pinky finger off.
