A driver was injured Thursday afternoon in a highway crash, which led to the closure of the eastbound lane of the South Lawrence Trafficway/Kansas Highway 10.

The lane was closed from 27th Street to about one mile west of Iowa Street after a one-vehicle accident in the area.

Medics took the driver to an area hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening, according to information from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. Fire units were cleaning up fuel in the area, and eastbound traffic was advised to find an alternate route Thursday afternoon.
