Two Lawrence brothers were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Friday in connection with an alleged stabbing.
Officers responded around 10 a.m. to the 1900 block of East 19th Street, where they found a man who had been stabbed. The man was taken by paramedics in serious condition to an area trauma center, according to a post on social media from the Lawrence Police Department. The man is expected to recover.
Investigators identified two suspects who were brothers and believed to be involved in the incident. Investigators found that one of the brothers allegedly sent a threatening message to an ex-girlfriend stating they were coming to her home to harm her other “ex,” who was there, according to the post.
The brothers then went to the woman’s house and a fight ensued between the brothers and the other man when the victim was stabbed and the brothers fled the scene, according to the post.
Police arrested both of them later that day, each on suspicion of aggravated battery and attempted second-degree murder, according to the jail booking log.
The men, Tyler Zane Snell, 24, and Christian Michael Snell, 26, are each being held on a $100,000 cash or surety bond.
