Lawrence police are investigating after a 26-year old man was shot Monday evening.

Officers were dispatched at 7:45 p.m. to the 3300 block of Iowa Street in reference to a shooting. One victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police said at 11:30 p.m. that he was in stable condition.

Officers remained in the area to investigate. No suspect has been taken into custody as detectives continue to try to identify the responsible party. Police have shared no further information about the incident.
