The Kansas Department of Transportation has closed westbound I-70 at Colby.

The closure is necessary because of ongoing winter weather in Colorado and limited accommodations and truck parking in northwest Kansas.

Closures could last through the weekend and extend farther east through Kansas as truck parking and accommodations continue to fill up. Motorists are advised to postpone westbound travel if possible.
