A 24-year-old Lawrence man was arrested early Monday morning on suspicion of DUI after a vehicle rolled over and crashed in the 1400 block of North 1300 Road, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

George Diepenbrock, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office, said dispatch received a call at 2:30 a.m. Monday from a passerby who had observed a 2024 Kia K5 traveling at a high speed and failing to stop at a stop sign at 31st and Louisiana streets before continuing eastbound. The passerby later saw the vehicle’s tail lights after it had rolled over off of North 1300 Road.

Medics checked all four of the vehicle’s occupants, who were determined to be OK. Diepenbrock said. After an investigation, deputies took the driver into custody on suspicion of DUI.
